Art Lopez is a Design engineer with 19 years’ experience in architectural, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, civil & process piping design on both large and small-scale projects.
While in high school, Art attended NMSU-C ultimately earning a degree in Graphic Design. Shortly, after high school attended ITT-Tech earning an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design. Throughout his career, he expanded he studies, with several speciaized courses in Industrial engineering and advanced design from MIT & Michigan State.
Art is currently overseeing The Colorado division of for Lov Engineering and is personally involved with several ongoing design projects involving fiber optics and gas line.
President & Electrical Engineer
Jim Olson is an electrical engineer with vast experience in providing solutions to clients. He entered the United States Navy in 1973 as a Data Systems Technician and ended his Naval career as a Nuclear Power Qualified Line Officer.
The bulk of his career, he has managed the design and installation of process computer and safety systems in nuclear power plants throughout the United States and Eastern Europe. He has successfully led the deign and integration of installations for reactor protection, control rod drive, turbine control, and radiation monitoring systems – on time and under budget. One of the more interesting projects in Jim’s portfolio was as the U.S. Department of Energy’s lead consultant on the effort to ready former Soviet nuclear facilities (including the last operating Chernobyl unit) for Y2K, which resulted in no adverse events on January 1, 2000.
Over his years in the project world, Jim has developed specifications and contracts for procurement, integration, testing, and installation that have protected the customer form scope creep and other project pitfalls by leveraging his experience to the benefit of the client.
In his role as a President of LOVEngineering, Jim will ensure world class engineering solutions are consistently delivered, expeditiously and at minimal cost to our clients. He strives to develop the next generation of high performing solution providers to our core industries through his mentorship.
Jim’s primary focus in LOVEngineering will be customer relations, while simultaneously establishing a company culture of superior customer service. Environmental Engineer and Consultant, F.E.
Katherine is a chemical engineer with over 18 years experience in EHS management and various operations and support roles in the refining and chemical industries. She has worked as a Environmental Engineer at BP North America and ExxonMobil, a Process Engineer at LyondellBasell and a Former Environmental and Process Safety Manager at Kaneka North America.
Katherine has conducted environmental regulatory impact and permitting requirement reviews on over 100 capital projects and over 1,000 Management of Change requests in refinery and chemical sectors.
She has extensive experience as a chemical industry compliance manager - primarily responsible for cost-effective compliance with environmental and other regulations in multiple operations throughout the U.S. and has conducted multiple root cause analysis and incident investigations for various environmental and process safety related incidents.
Katherine has a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University (Summa Cum Laude).

Sam Olson is a Lead Designer who helps engineering, procurement and construction groups operate more effectively by streamlining the design processes with fast turnaround models and by providing high quality construction drawing packages that exceed client expectations.
Sam boasts 13 years of professional experience in drafting, and design and an established career that has taken him to virtually every region in the contiguous U.S. - including work with challenging industries such as chemical, nuclear, and oil & gas.
Sam enjoys cross country road trips, and striving to achieve his goal of traveling to all 50 U.S. states.
Sam is ready to meet his client’s needs for drafting & design projects, and CADWorx administration.
